Ireland issued 1,684 employment permits in June 2025, down 7% on May and down 56% on June 2024.

That brings the year to 15,155 permits, down 39% on the same point in 2024.

783 employers received at least one permit in the month, 145 of them for the first time.

University Limerick Hospitals Group took the most, with 64.
