Ireland issued 2,180 employment permits in July 2025, up 29% on June and down 62% on July 2024.

That brings the year to 17,335 permits, down 43% on the same point in 2024.

1,067 employers received at least one permit in the month, 207 of them for the first time.

University Limerick Hospitals Group took the most, with 48.
