Ireland issued 4,553 employment permits in April 2024, up 18% on March and up 109% on April 2023.

That brings the year to 17,124 permits, up 81% on the same point in 2023.

1,363 employers received at least one permit in the month, 246 of them for the first time.

Intel Research and Development Ireland Limited took the most, with 110.

Busiest counties: Dublin (1,572), Cork (331), Kildare (318).
