About the role
Producing high-quality metal components on CNC press brakes to tight tolerances.
What you will be doing
- Set and operate CNC turning or milling machines
- Work from engineering drawings to tolerance
- First off inspection and in process checks
- Tooling changes and basic programme edits
- Set up, program and operate CNC press brake machines
- Read engineering drawings, blueprints and technical specifications
- Select tooling for material type, thickness and bend specification
- Inspect finished components with calipers, gauges and protractors
- Routine machine maintenance and housekeeping
What you need
- Machining qualification or time served experience
- Able to read engineering drawings and use measuring equipment
- Setting experience is a strong advantage
- Previous experience operating CNC press brakes
- Amada, Trumpf or Ermak experience preferred
- Strong understanding of sheet metal fabrication and material properties
- Able to calculate bend allowances and angles
- Experience with precision measuring equipment
