Remote Careers with US Companies

Build a long-term career
working directly for a US employer.
Based wherever you live.

Sama Talent places remote professionals from the Philippines, South Africa, Bangladesh, and Colombia into direct-hire roles with US-based companies. You work for them, paid by them, on their team. We handle the matching, the interview process, and the contract. After you start, you are their employee.

No salary margin. No middleman taking a cut of what you earn. No agency fees, ever.

Who We Hire

We place remote professionals into six categories of roles:

Customer Service Representatives

Support, success, and retention roles for US software, e-commerce, and service companies.

Sales Representatives

Business Development Reps, Sales Development Reps, and Account Executives selling to US businesses.

Bookkeepers

Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and payroll for US small and mid-sized businesses.

Accountants

Financial reporting, tax preparation, and FP&A roles for US firms and accounting practices.

Virtual Assistants

Executive support, administrative, and research roles for US founders and senior leaders.

Marketing Support

SEO, Content Creation, Video Editing, Graphic Design, Web Design.

What We Look For

We are honest about this because too many agencies aren’t. Four things matter to us when we shortlist a candidate.

English proficiency at C1 level or above.

You will be on calls, writing emails, and joining team meetings with US colleagues every day. We assess both spoken and written English. Conversational fluency is not enough. You need to communicate clearly, professionally, and at speed.

Real experience in the role you're applying for.

We don't place candidates into roles they haven't done before. If you're applying as a Bookkeeper, you've done bookkeeping in a previous job. If you're applying as a Sales Rep, you've sold something to someone. Career changers are welcome, but the experience has to map honestly to the role.

A genuinely good home working setup.

Reliable high-speed internet (minimum 25 Mbps down, 10 Mbps up, with a backup option). A quiet, dedicated workspace. A laptop or desktop capable of running standard business software. A working webcam and headset. We check this before placing you, because nothing damages a remote career faster than connection problems in the first month.

The right attitude for remote work.

Remote roles need self-starters. People who can manage their own time, communicate proactively, and don't need to be supervised hour by hour. We assess this in interview, and so will the employer.

Things We Don't Do

Some things we want to be clear about, because the remote staffing industry has a poor reputation in this area.

We don't charge candidates.

Not for application. Not for placement. Not for visa processing (these roles don't require one , you stay where you live). Not for "training." Not ever. If anyone tells you otherwise, it isn't us.

We don't take a cut of your salary.

You are hired directly by the US employer and they pay you directly. The fee they pay Sama is paid by them, separately, and has nothing to do with your wage.

We don't outsource you to a third party.

You work for the US employer, not for Sama and not for any intermediary. Your career, your relationship, your contract.

what makes us different

How It Works

1. Apply

Submit your CV through the role you're interested in, or register your general interest if no current role matches.

2. First conversation

A recruiter from our Manila, Johannesburg, Dhaka, or remote team will speak with you within a week. We talk through your experience, expectations, and what you're looking for.

3. Vetting

If we think you're a fit for the kind of roles we place, we'll move forward with skills assessment, an English proficiency check, and a recorded video interview. We complete a background check covering identity and employment history.

4. Practical task

Depending on the role, we'll set a short task representative of the work itself. Bookkeepers reconcile a sample ledger. Sales reps run a mock discovery call. Customer service reps respond to sample tickets.

5. Employer interview

Once you've cleared our process, we introduce you to one or more US employers actively hiring for your role. You interview directly with them.

6. Offer and start

If both sides want to proceed, the US employer makes you an offer directly. They contract you, they pay you. We support both sides through the first six months.

FAQ

No. These are remote roles and you work from where you live. We currently place candidates based in the Philippines, South Africa, Bangladesh, and Colombia. If you’re outside those countries, register your interest and we’ll let you know if and when we expand.

No. You’re not relocating. You’re working remotely as a contractor or employee of a US company, from your home country.

You are responsible for declaring and paying tax in your country of residence on the income you receive. Most US employers contract candidates as international independent contractors, which means no US tax is withheld and you handle your own filings locally. We can point you to local accountants who handle this for our placed candidates.

We support both you and the employer through the first six months. If something isn’t working, wrong fit, changing expectations, anything – we step in to mediate or, if needed, find you another role. The same applies in reverse if the employer’s circumstances change.

That depends on the role. Customer service reps usually work in Zendesk, Intercom, or Freshdesk. Bookkeepers work in QuickBooks or Xero. Sales reps work in HubSpot or Salesforce. We don’t expect you to know every tool, but coming in with relevant experience speeds up your shortlist position.

Yes. Tell us about your full background when you register and we’ll match you against whatever fits best.

That depends on the employer, not on us. Many of the US companies we work with are small and growing, which usually means strong progression for people who deliver. Some of our placed candidates have moved from Customer Service Rep to Team Lead, from Bookkeeper to Senior Accountant, from BDR to Account Executive within their first 18 months. When you interview, ask the employer directly about their team structure and how they’ve promoted remote staff in the past. Their answer tells you a lot.

Yes. You’re expected to come with a working laptop or desktop, reliable internet, a webcam, and a headset. Some employers offer a one-off equipment stipend after you start (commonly $200 to $500) to help upgrade your setup, but this isn’t guaranteed and varies role by role. If your current equipment is the limiting factor in your application, tell us at the interview stage – we can sometimes negotiate a setup allowance into the offer.
