About the role
Busy commercial workshop covering all makes of trucks and trailers, Scania in particular.
What you will be doing
- Service, diagnose and repair HGVs, trailers and plant
- Engine, transmission, brake and hydraulic work
- Prepare vehicles for CVRT or MOT and rectify failures
- Electrical and diagnostic fault finding
- Accurate job records and reporting
- Diagnostics and fault-finding repairs
- Auto electrical work including wiring repairs and fitting accessories such as spotlight bars and reverse cameras
- Routine maintenance and inspections
What you need
- Time served HGV or plant mechanic
- Confident on air brake systems and hydraulics
- Diagnostic experience on modern commercial vehicles
- Own hand tools
- Full driving licence. An HGV licence is an advantage
- Able to work under pressure to deadlines
- Able to work on own initiative
- Fluent spoken and written English
- Full clean driving licence, truck licence a bonus
