About the role
Applying 2-pack paint and primer to manufactured products, reporting to the paint and assembly manager.
What you will be doing
- Clean surfaces to remove dirt, rust, grease and old paint
- Mask areas not to be painted
- Fill dents and scratches and smooth before painting
- Mix paint to the required colour and consistency and test the match
- Apply primer and finish coats evenly by spray gun
- Inspect for uniform coverage and correct defects
- Set up, clean and maintain spray guns, hoses and compressors
- Keep records of paint types and quantities used
What you need
- Experience spray painting in a manufacturing or engineering environment
- Comfortable with 2-pack systems
- Able to follow safety protocols on ventilation and respiratory protection
