About the role
Fabrication and welding of steel in a busy manufacturing facility.
What you will be doing
- MIG and MAG welding of structural and fabricated components
- Single pass and multi pass welds to company procedure and specification
- Clean and dress welds, remove spatter and imperfections
- Remove defective welds and carry out repairs
- Work to quality control standards and inspection
- Weld rebar
- Refurbish cores
- Make hanging brackets
- Work from drawings
- Safe operation of welding equipment, saws, sanders and material handling equipment
What you need
- Welding qualification or time served experience
- Able to work from drawings and to specification
- Own PPE and a safe working approach
- Minimum two years' welding or fabrication experience
- Certified in welding or fabrication
- Experienced in MIG, TIG and ARC welding
