About the role
Repairing damaged vehicle bodywork to manufacturer standard, reporting to the garage manager.
What you will be doing
- Repair damaged panels and bodywork
- Filling, sanding, prep, prime and paint
- Colour matching and finishing
- Remove and refit body accessories and trim
- Assess body damage and decide the repair method
- Remove, repair or replace panels by pulling, filling, sanding and reshaping
- Structural repairs using jigs and pulling systems
- Weld panels and structural components to manufacturer spec
- Remove, repair and refit mechanical and trim components
- Check panel gaps and alignment
What you need
- Automotive body repair background, panel beating or spray painting
- Eye for finish and colour match
- Own hand tools
- Proven panel beating experience
- Welding ability
- Work to insurance and industry standards
