About the role
Finishing vehicles to the highest standard in a busy bodyshop, reporting to the garage manager.
What you will be doing
- Repair damaged panels and bodywork
- Filling, sanding, prep, prime and paint
- Colour matching and finishing
- Remove and refit body accessories and trim
- Prepare vehicles by cleaning, sanding and masking
- Mix and match paint to manufacturer colour codes
- Apply paint by spray gun to an even finish
- Polish and detail after painting
- Inspect painted surfaces for quality
- Keep records of materials used
What you need
- Automotive body repair background, panel beating or spray painting
- Eye for finish and colour match
- Own hand tools
- Previous experience as a vehicle painter or similar
- Knowledge of automotive painting techniques, materials and equipment
- Familiar with health and safety around paint and chemicals
