About the role

Writing, testing and maintaining software alongside a small development team, taking work from specification through to release.

What you will be doing

  • Developing and maintaining software to specification
  • Writing clean, reliable and well documented code
  • Debugging, code review and problem solving across the codebase
  • Working with databases and version control as part of the day to day
  • Taking the initiative on development tasks and seeing them through to deadline
  • Collaborating with colleagues across the business on project work

What you need

  • Minimum one year of proven experience in software development, programming or a related technical role
  • Proficiency in modern programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, C# or Java
  • Working knowledge of software architecture, databases and version control tools such as Git
  • Strong debugging and problem solving skills, and a commitment to well documented code
  • Able to work independently and collaborate effectively with colleagues across the business
  • Valid right to work in the UK
