Job Description

ROLE OVERVIEW
Oxigen Environmental are recruiting 5 experienced HGV mechanics to maintain and repair their heavy goods and
specialist waste fleet, keeping vehicles safe, compliant and on the road.
KEY DUTIES

  • Service, maintenance and repair of HGVs and specialist waste vehicles.
  • Fault diagnosis on engines, hydraulics, braking, electrical and ancillary systems.
  • Preventative maintenance and DOE/CVRT preparation.
  • Accurate job records and reporting.
  • Working safely in line with workshop and site H&S procedures.
  • Maintaining tools, equipment and a clean working area.
    REQUIREMENTS
  • Proven HGV/commercial vehicle mechanic experience.
  • Relevant mechanical trade qualification.
  • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding ability.
  • Knowledge of roadworthiness/compliance standards.
  • Right-to-work or permit-eligible; Sama manages permit and mobilisation for overseas hires.
    NOTE ON CERTIFICATION
    Where overseas candidates require Irish-specific tickets or familiarisation, Sama coordinates these on
    commencement. Proven HGV mechanical experience is essential at selection.
