Ireland, from NARIC Ireland's own database
How does a qualification from abroad compare in Ireland?
Pick the country the qualification is from and type its name. You get the answer NARIC Ireland gives: the Irish award type and the level on the National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ), with a link to NARIC's own profile and comparability statement. NARIC Ireland is hosted by QQI, the Irish state body for qualifications. We keep a copy of its list and refresh it every week.

What NARIC Ireland says about its own results
Advice, not a decision
A comparability statement only provides advice and is not a legal document; decisions on recognising your qualification for employment, training or educational purposes will be made by the individual employer, competent authority or education and training admissions staff.
Licensed and regulated work
Decisions on professional recognition are made by the appropriate Irish authority for your profession. We do not comment on professional awards, regulated professions, licences to practice or agreements made between different sectors of industry from one or more countries.
Not in the database?
NARIC Ireland has not compared every qualification. If yours is not there, you can ask NARIC Ireland for advice on it directly, using its own form.
NARIC Ireland's list as copied on 2 October 2026, 2,205 qualifications. The results are NARIC Ireland's, word for word; we do not add our own comparisons. Hiring into Ireland? Check whether the job can get an employment permit. Questions? A member of our team will get back to you.

New jobs go up there first
Roles are posted as they come in, with the trade and the country, and there is usually a fortnight between a job appearing there and the applications closing.
