About the role
A large manufacturing plant in Killarney building heavy machinery. You would be welding structural steel components and preparing them for shot blasting and painting, working to production and shipping schedules in a well equipped shop.
What you will be doing
- MIG and MAG welding of structural steel components
- Handheld torches, programmable welding cars and robotic or CNC welders
- Single pass and multi pass welds to company procedure and specification
- Clean and dress welds, remove spatter and imperfections
- Remove defective welds and carry out repairs
- Lifting and moving components, and moving between departments as production requires
What you need
- A welding qualification
- Three years’ experience
- Able to work at height and in confined spaces
- Available for rotating shift, 06:30 to 15:00 and 15:00 to 23:30, changing weekly
