About the role

A large manufacturing plant in Killarney building heavy machinery. The fitter role is drawing led: you would be working to tolerance on large parts and assemblies, alongside the welding and finishing departments.

What you will be doing

• Work from engineering drawings and to company procedure and specification
• Work to tolerance on large parts and equipment
• Oxygen and acetylene cutting and heating
• Remove defective welds and carry out repairs
• Clean and dress welds after completion
• Lifting and moving components, and moving between departments as production requires

What you need

• A fitter qualification
• Industry experience on heavy fabrication or plant
• Fully competent reading engineering drawings
• Able to work at height
• Available for shift work
