What a licence means

The slow part is done

Getting a licence takes an application, checks and a fee, and most employers never bother. Viking Optical Ltd has, which means when a role qualifies the certificate can be assigned without months of preparation.

How to approach them

Lead with the role, not the visa

Apply through the careers page or the job boards with a UK-style CV, say early that you would need sponsorship, and make the skill and the years the first thing they read.

The register

The register lists Viking Optical Ltd in Halesworth, Suffolk as a licensed sponsor on Skilled Worker, an entry that goes back to at least 2026. Its rating on the register is Worker (A rating).

Viking Optical Limited is the registered name (Companies House number 01956767), a private limited company on the register since 1985. Registered office: Blyth Road Industrial Estate, Halesworth, Suffolk, IP19 8EN, IP19 8EN. Its filed activity puts it in wholesale. It has traded under other names before, including Startserve Limited.

What the licence tells a candidate is that the door is not locked. Whether it is open this month is a question for Viking Optical Ltd's own careers page and the job boards, and the answer changes with the season and the order book.
