What a licence means
They can sponsor. That is all it says.
A sponsor licence lets an organisation assign a Certificate of Sponsorship to a worker on the routes it covers. It does not mean SolGold is hiring from abroad this month, only that it can, and has been checked by the Home Office to do so.
How to approach them
Ask the question early
Sponsorship is a yes or no per role. Ask in the first message whether the vacancy qualifies for a Certificate of Sponsorship; it saves everyone a wasted interview and marks you as someone who knows the system.
The register
The register lists SolGold in London as a licensed sponsor on Skilled Worker, an entry that goes back to at least 2026. Its rating on the register is Worker (A rating).
Solgold Limited is the registered name (Companies House number 05449516), a private limited company on the register since 2005. The registered office is at 1 Cornhill, London, EC3V 3ND, EC3V 3ND. Its filed activity puts it in mining and quarrying. It has traded under other names before, including Solgold PLC, Solomon Gold PLC.
Holding a licence is the expensive, slow part done. For SolGold the question each time is only whether the role and the pay fit the current rules, and that is checked per vacancy.
