What a licence means

They can sponsor. That is all it says.

A sponsor licence lets an organisation assign a Certificate of Sponsorship to a worker on the routes it covers. It does not mean Maj Building Contractors Ltd is hiring from abroad this month, only that it can, and has been checked by the Home Office to do so.

How to approach them

Make the certificate easy

The employer assigns the certificate; you supply what it needs. Certificates, references, your English level and a clear licence position, all ready, is what makes Maj Building Contractors Ltd say yes to the sponsored candidate over the unsponsored one.

The register

Maj Building Contractors Ltd is licensed to sponsor workers on Skilled Worker. The organisation is based in Leeds and has held its place on the register since at least 2026. Its rating on the register is Worker (A rating).

At Companies House the business is Maj Building Contractors Ltd (company number 10884157), a private limited company incorporated in 2017, 9 years ago. The registered office is at 282 Harehills Lane, Leeds, LS9 7BD, LS9 7BD. By its SIC codes the business is in construction.

For a candidate this means one less obstacle: Maj Building Contractors Ltd already has the licence most employers would have to apply for. The rest is the ordinary job of getting the interview.
