What a licence means

They can sponsor. That is all it says.

A sponsor licence lets an organisation assign a Certificate of Sponsorship to a worker on the routes it covers. It does not mean M247 (UK) Limited is hiring from abroad this month, only that it can, and has been checked by the Home Office to do so.

How to approach them

Ask the question early

Sponsorship is a yes or no per role. Ask in the first message whether the vacancy qualifies for a Certificate of Sponsorship; it saves everyone a wasted interview and marks you as someone who knows the system.

The register

The register lists M247 (UK) Limited in Manchester as a licensed sponsor on Skilled Worker, an entry that goes back to at least 2026. The register records its rating as Worker (A rating).

At Companies House the business is M247 LTD (company number 04968341), a private limited company incorporated in 2003, 22 years ago. The registered office is at 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ, WC2H 9JQ. Its filed activity puts it in it, software and media. It has traded under other names before, including Open Hosting Limited.

A licence says an organisation may sponsor; it does not say it is hiring today. The way to find out is the same as for any employer: the careers page, the job boards, and a direct approach with a UK-style CV that says early that sponsorship would be needed.
