What a licence means

They can sponsor. That is all it says.

A sponsor licence lets an organisation assign a Certificate of Sponsorship to a worker on the routes it covers. It does not mean Irish Ferries (U.K.) Limited is hiring from abroad this month, only that it can, and has been checked by the Home Office to do so.

How to approach them

Lead with the role, not the visa

Apply through the careers page or the job boards with a UK-style CV, say early that you would need sponsorship, and make the skill and the years the first thing they read.

The register

Irish Ferries (U.K.) Limited is licensed to sponsor workers on Skilled Worker. The organisation is based in Liverpool and has held its place on the register since at least 2026. The register records its rating as Worker (A rating).

Irish Ferries (U.K.) Limited is the registered name (Companies House number 01019995), a private limited company on the register since 1971. The registered office is at The Plaza Suite 4d - 4th Floor, 100 Old Hall Street, Liverpool, L3 9QJ, L3 9QJ. Its filed activity puts it in transport and logistics. It has traded under other names before, including B & I Line (UK) Limited, British & Irish Steam Packet Company(U.K)limited.

A licence says an organisation may sponsor; it does not say it is hiring today. The way to find out is the same as for any employer: the careers page, the job boards, and a direct approach with a UK-style CV that says early that sponsorship would be needed.
