What a licence means

They can sponsor. That is all it says.

A sponsor licence lets an organisation assign a Certificate of Sponsorship to a worker on the routes it covers. It does not mean Esseco UK Ltd is hiring from abroad this month, only that it can, and has been checked by the Home Office to do so.

How to approach them

Ask the question early

Sponsorship is a yes or no per role. Ask in the first message whether the vacancy qualifies for a Certificate of Sponsorship; it saves everyone a wasted interview and marks you as someone who knows the system.

The register

Esseco UK Ltd is licensed to sponsor workers on Global Business Mobility: Senior or Specialist Worker. The organisation is based in Wakefield, West Yorkshire and has held its place on the register since at least 2026. Its rating on the register is Worker (A rating).

Companies House lists it as Esseco UK Limited, number 01903619, incorporated 1985: 41 years of filings behind the name. The registered office is at Calder Vale Road, Wakefield, West Yorkshire, WF1 5PH, WF1 5PH. Its filed activity puts it in manufacturing. It has traded under other names before, including Brotherton Esseco Limited, Brotherton Speciality Products Limited.

A licence says an organisation may sponsor; it does not say it is hiring today. The way to find out is the same as for any employer: the careers page, the job boards, and a direct approach with a UK-style CV that says early that sponsorship would be needed.
