What a licence means

The slow part is done

Getting a licence takes an application, checks and a fee, and most employers never bother. Boreas Contracts Ltd has, which means when a role qualifies the certificate can be assigned without months of preparation.

How to approach them

Ask the question early

Sponsorship is a yes or no per role. Ask in the first message whether the vacancy qualifies for a Certificate of Sponsorship; it saves everyone a wasted interview and marks you as someone who knows the system.

The register

Boreas Contracts Ltd, Grimsby, holds a Home Office sponsor licence on the Skilled Worker route, and has been on the register since at least 2026. The register records its rating as Worker (A rating).

Boreas Contracts Ltd is the registered name (Companies House number 14078075), a private limited company on the register since 2022. Registered office: Blackwood, Wilton Road, Grimsby, Lincolnshire, DN36 4AW, DN36 4AW. Its filed activity puts it in construction.

A licence says an organisation may sponsor; it does not say it is hiring today. The way to find out is the same as for any employer: the careers page, the job boards, and a direct approach with a UK-style CV that says early that sponsorship would be needed.
