What the numbers say
5 permits so far in 2026, against 6 in the whole of 2025.
Busiest full year: 2024 with 8 permits. First year on record: 2018.
The record
5 employment permits in 2026 is a modest count for Web Hill Ltd, but it is a count: this employer has been through the application and knows what it involves.
Since 2018 the count stands at 45 permits across 9 years. The high point was 2022, with 8. There is a consistency to it: similar numbers in each of the last three full years.
This year's permits came in 3 separate months, busiest in March with 2, which suggests a few distinct rounds of recruitment.

What you need to work here
- A job offer and a contract of employment signed by you and the employer before anything is submitted. Applications must reach the Department at least 12 weeks before the start date.
- The right permit for the job. Most trades and driving roles go through a General Employment Permit, which is issued for 2 years and can be renewed. Roles on the Critical Skills list use a Critical Skills Employment Permit.
- Pay at or above the minimum for the permit. For a General Employment Permit the Department currently lists it as generally EUR 36,605 a year, with lower figures for meat processing, horticulture, healthcare assistants and home support. Check the official figure for your role before you rely on it.
