What the numbers say
5 permits so far in 2026, against 5 in the whole of 2025.
Busiest full year: 2020 with 38 permits. First year on record: 2017.
What this tells you
They have done it before
Even a handful of permits means Lighthouse Studios Limited has been through the application and knows the timeline. That is the hard part; the second hire is easier than the first.

The record
Lighthouse Studios Limited uses employment permits sparingly: 5 issued so far in 2026, enough to show it knows the process without being a volume recruiter from abroad.
Since 2017 the count stands at 150 permits across 10 years. The high point was 2020, with 38. Use has fallen over the last three full years, which can mean the roles were filled, the need passed, or hiring moved elsewhere.
This year's permits came in 3 separate months, busiest in April with 3, which suggests a few distinct rounds of recruitment.

What you need to work here
- A job offer and a contract of employment signed by you and the employer before anything is submitted. Applications must reach the Department at least 12 weeks before the start date.
- The right permit for the job. Most trades and driving roles go through a General Employment Permit, which is issued for 2 years and can be renewed. Roles on the Critical Skills list use a Critical Skills Employment Permit.
- Pay at or above the minimum for the permit. For a General Employment Permit the Department currently lists it as generally EUR 36,605 a year, with lower figures for meat processing, horticulture, healthcare assistants and home support. Check the official figure for your role before you rely on it.
