Canadian employers approved to hire foreign workers

31,776 employers were issued a positive Labour Market Impact Assessment between April 2025 to March 2026, for 146,504 positions. Every one of them, by province and by trade, from the official ESDC lists. 130,727 employers with LMIA history since 2019 behind them.

What this is

What a positive LMIA means, and what it does not

The decision

One application, one answer

A Labour Market Impact Assessment is Employment and Social Development Canada's decision on an employer's application to hire a temporary foreign worker for a position. A positive one means that application was approved. The lists name the employer, the province, the occupation and the number of positions.

What it is not

Not a vacancy, not a promise

An employer on this list hired from abroad once. It does not mean they are hiring today, that the job is still open, or that they would sponsor you. Whether a worker can take up a position is decided by the government under rules that change; the official pages below are the ones that count.

Why we publish it

Employers who know the route

These are the companies that have already done the paperwork to hire from abroad. For us, that is the shortlist of employers worth talking to, province by province and trade by trade. For a tradesperson, it is a straight answer to "who actually hires foreign workers in Canada?"

Links checked 26 October 2026.

For employers

Hiring in Canada and tired of the paperwork?

We find the people first in Canada, through our network of workers already there, and bring them in from abroad only when the local market cannot fill the role. Trade tested before you meet them. Tell us the trade and the province.

  • No retainer. Nothing to sign until you have met people.
  • Trade tested before you see them, not after.
  • Nothing is ever charged to the candidate.
