For hGV, bus, trailer and plant mechanics and technicians. 15 questions drawn at random, 20 minutes. Score 11 or more for a certificate an employer can check online.
Before you start
Find 20 quiet minutes. The clock starts when you press Start and it does not stop. You can take each check once a fortnight. Your name goes on the certificate, so write it as it is on your passport.
How it works
Fair, and the same for everyone
The questions come from a larger bank, in a random order, with the answers shuffled. You see your score and how you did on each topic straight away. The answers are not shown, so the check stays fair for the next person.
What it is worth
A knowledge check, not a qualification
It shows an employer you know the process and the safety. It is not a trade qualification, and a good employer will still want to see you work. We say that on the certificate too.
