United Kingdom
Your duties as a UK sponsor
A licence comes with duties. The ones that catch employers out, from the Home Office's own guidance.
Checked against the official pages listed below on 25 September 2026.
Report changes on time
Changes to a sponsored worker's circumstances have to be reported no later than 10 working days after the change, for example when a worker does not start within 28 days.
Check the right to work
Check every worker's right to work in the UK before the job starts, and keep HR systems that let you monitor sponsored workers.
If duties are missed
The licence may be downgraded, suspended or withdrawn.
How we help
We track the dates for every hire we place and remind you before a renewal. Clients see each hire online.
