Shortlist and trade test
Candidates are screened and tested on the tools. You interview them in person on a trip or by video.
Paperwork
Permit or sponsorship, visa, medical and background checks. We prepare and file all of it.

Flights, accommodation, bank account and PPSN or NI number sorted. We check in after they start.

What does it cost to get started?
Nothing. No retainer, no monthly fee and no charge to open a search. The placement fee is due 14 days after the offer is signed, and government charges are passed through at cost. You get the pricing in writing before anything starts.
How quickly can you fill a role?
Local roles take about two weeks. Remote roles one to four weeks. Overseas hires depend on government processing times, which change, so we give you the current timeline for your role in writing.
Who employs the candidate, you or us?
You do. Anyone hired through Sama is employed directly by your business. No ongoing fees, no percentage deducted from their salary, and no middleman.
Do I have to travel?
No. Interviews and trade tests can be done remotely. Coming with us gets you more candidates in two days than months of CVs, and the six month replacement cover, which is the longest we give.
What if a candidate does not work out?
Every trade tested placement carries replacement cover: 30 days for a local hire, 3 months where you watched the trade test on a video call, and 6 months where you tested them in person. We find the replacement and charge no second recruitment fee. For an overseas replacement the permit, the visa and the flights are recharged at cost, because the State charges again for a second set.
