About the role
Installation, maintenance and fault finding on electrical systems across water and wastewater treatment plant, from motor control centres through to field instrumentation.
What you will be doing
- Installing, testing and commissioning electrical systems on treatment plant
- Working on motor control centres, starters, inverters and distribution boards
- Containment, cabling and terminations to drawings and specification
- Fault finding and repair on pumps, blowers, mixers, dosing systems and associated controls
- Wiring and terminating field instrumentation
- Planned preventive maintenance and inspection to schedule
- Completing test certification and keeping records up to date
- Working to site health and safety requirements, including isolation and permit to work procedures
What you need
- Qualified electrician, trade certified or equivalent
- Experience on industrial or process plant rather than domestic work alone
- Able to work from electrical schematics and panel drawings
- Confident fault finding on three phase systems, motors and control circuits
- Full driving licence, as the role covers sites across the region
- Good standard of English, written and spoken
Wastewater treatment experience is essential for this role. Instrumentation experience is an advantage.
